Adults need to play too!
What is Whare Hau Tutū?
Whare Hau Tutū is a creative space where you can come to play, connect, and share experiences.
We offer resources and tools for activities like paper craft, leatherwork, clay play, printing, painting, sewing, and digital creation.
Our creative hub encourages creativity and connection, promoting wellness and self-discovery.
Sky’s the limit! Bring your own magic and explore the possibilities!
How did it come about?
We inherently knew that a space like this would and could bring joy, connection and opportunities to create and for whānau to be well. With the support of our whānau and friends, our tuakana organisation Whakamana I Te Whānau Charitable Trust, and many a thought, moemoea, kōrero and just saying ‘Yes!’, Hau Tutū Aotearoa was born to socialise our dream and start raising funds to get this off the ground.
In January 2024, Whare Hau Tutū became a reality.
How do I join this community?
Based in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton, we offer a membership programme and casual sessions for our community to come and play. With access to regular workshops and times throughout the day and evenings to create.
We also have a Whare Hau Tutū peke [bag] with goodies for some members to get you started!
Come down for a gander and see if its a bit of you?
